شبكة أطباء السودان: استهداف الكهرباء والوقود بالأبيض يفاقم الأزمة الإنسانية لمليون مواطن ونازح

تتابع شبكة أطباء السودان بقلق بالغ القصف الذي استهدف المنشآت المدنية بمدينة الأبيض والذي طال المحطة التحويلية للكهرباء ومحطات الوقود مما تسبب في خروج عدد من المرافق الطبية عن الخدمة وعلى رأسها مراكز غسيل الكلى وأقسام الطوارئ وأدى كذلك إلى توقف عدد من محطات المياه مما فاقم من الأوضاع الإنسانية والمعاناة اليومية للمواطنين والنازحين.

تؤكد الشبكة أن الاستهداف المتكرر للبنية التحتية والخدمات الأساسية يمثل تهديداً مباشراً لحياة المدنيين ويزيد من معاناة أكثر من مليون مواطن ونازح في المدينة الذين يواجهون نقصاً في أبسط مقومات الحياة من مياه الشرب والخدمات الصحية والطاقة، وتعتبر الشبكة أن استمرار هذه الهجمات ينعكس بصورة خطيرة على قدرة المرافق الطبية على تقديم الرعاية للمرضى والمصابين.

تدعو شبكة أطباء السودان المنظمات الأممية والدولية والجهات المعنية إلى تحمل مسؤولياتها والضغط على فيادات الدعم السريع من أجل وقف استهداف المرافق المدنية وحماية المنشآت الحيوية وفقاً للقوانين الإنسانية الدولية، والعمل على ضمان وصول الخدمات الأساسية للمدنيين وتجنيبهم مزيداً من المعاناة في ظل الظروف الإنسانية الراهنة.

Sudan Doctors Network: Deliberate Bombing of a Power Station and Fuel Stations Disrupts Several Medical Facilities and Causes Water Stations to Shut Down in El Obeid

The Sudan Doctors Network is following with grave concern the bombing that targeted civilian facilities in El Obeid, including the power substation and fuel stations. This attack has resulted in the shutdown of several medical facilities, most notably dialysis centers and emergency departments, and has also led to the closure of several water stations, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation and the daily suffering of citizens and displaced persons.

The Network emphasizes that the repeated targeting of infrastructure and essential services poses a direct threat to the lives of civilians and increases the suffering of more than one million residents and displaced persons in the city, who are already facing shortages of basic necessities, including drinking water, healthcare, and energy. The Network believes that the continuation of these attacks severely undermines the ability of medical facilities to provide care to the sick and injured.

The Sudan Doctors Network calls on the United Nations, international organizations, and all relevant parties to assume their responsibilities and exert pressure on the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces to cease targeting civilian facilities and to protect vital infrastructure in accordance with international humanitarian law. The Network also urges them to work to ensure civilians’ access to essential services and to spare them further suffering amid the current humanitarian crisis.
